The Dark House

How many times have you heard the phrase, “Life Happens?”

Reflecting back to my to my childhood, I recall hearing this phrase, being loosely used by my Dad. Like an echo, in response to his own statement, you’d hear “Get use to it.” Pondering within myself, then watching angered look of frustration settle within him, was pretty scary.

We were all programmed. Once he arrived home from drinking, we encountered mood shifts and confrontations. Afterwards came his favorite quote, “Life happens, deal with it.” All verbal conversation, smiles and laugher would instantly cease. The paranoia and fear of us talking behind his back, plagued him everyday. It was all about control, it was like a light switch.

The white walls inside of the house went from sunshine to darkness. Silence filled the cold lifeless house. During the times of silence the three of us communicated with one another by whispering, using jesters and hand signals. My Mother would attempt to make a game out of it, just to ease the tension and stress. We were hostages, moving about the house as if we were walking on eggshells, in fear of awakening the terror. If walls could talk, they would have cried out for help, revealing many secrets…

No one deserves or ever has to accept abuse of any nature, at any age from anyone. If you or you know of someone who is in danger. Tell community service workers or local authorities.

I am valuable, beautifully and wonderfully made by God.

I am more than a conqueror.

I have a voice and will not be silenced.

Forever Love

Thank you Jesus for being more than enough. Your finished work rescued me from the death of sin and shame. No longer bound, but free indeed.

Father, I am so grateful that you know my name. No longer a stranger, no longer the same, but you call me friend.

You took the time to know me.

The very hairs on my head are numbered by you. It is you who has given me a free will.

I have chosen to follow you.

Your word has ignited in my spirit, it is a lamp unto my feet and a lights my path.

Your love is everything to me.

I receive, I believe, and I declare you as my God, my Lord and personal Savior.

Forever

PUSH THROUGH

Thank you,oh so true!

This is REAL TALK

The fight is real, sometimes it gets hard to push through.

Uread, Upray standing armed;

Many times at a loss of words to say and nothing is making sense.

Yet you wait on your breakthrough.

You declare,

Jesus my confidence is in you,

I know you will see me through.

The battle is not mine it belongs to you.

To hear the words, “I’m proud of you are contagious words of affirmation.”

To hear God say, “Well Done My Good & Faithful Servant is my final destination.

Did I Tell You…I Made It

You oh God, are the Great Creator. It is you who can make something out of nothing. You speak with such authority, “Let there be…” and there was.

God you are Omnipresent. Your always present even before I call. Father, thank you listening, it is blows my mind that you can listen to us at the same time. You know each of us, you meet each of us right where we are with exactly what we need. God is Awesome.

God your so Powerful, when you speak everything on heaven and earth bows down. My hope is in you Father God, that no weapon formed against me, my family shall prosper.

God you are in Control, it is you who spoke to the winds, waves on the ship, and situations in my life and they obeyed. You hold the future your hands. When chaos is all around, Lord you bring a Still Peace.

God you are my WayMaker. When all seems dim and the path was dark, storms raged against me. My posture was prayer, trust in you Lord and continue to stand on your promises. You always make a way. You turn my darkness into light.

Lord-Jehovah is God’s covenant making Name.God’s character stands behind his name. God is LOVE, but God is ALL that and MUCH MORE!

God Loves You

I am so thankful that Jesus is Alive, he moves in the midst of the congregation like a mighty rushing wind, yet gentle. My arms lifted high, with out-stretched hands. There is definitely a shift in the atmosphere.

My heart is wide opened, tears of joy and gratitude stream down my face.  The Holy Spirit is filling this place deliverance, life, and breakthrough is happening today.

As I Stand full of praise, worship and adoration toward you.  I jump, I dance bowing before your presence desiring to draw near to you.

You are my King, the Holy one, the Lord of all. I could never thank you enough for what you done.
