Welcome To The Family

Welcome to the Family, Welcome to the Family…these words startled Sara, disrupting her sleep again. The faces she could not recognize. This was the third time she was awaken by the same dream in the past month. Yet each time the words are the same and she can never see faces, nor recall anything else. Then of course it’s 5:00 A.M.

Sara has been Nannying for the Sinclair’s for Seventeen Years now. Graduation day for the Twins is actually set for next Friday. More than anything besides family, education and volunteering the Twins love to travel.

The Twins are super excited, not only about graduation, but the Family Graduation Trip. They will be taking a Private Plane to some Secluded Island in Turks & Caicos Resort Villages and Spa.

Sara was very delighted when they insisted that she travel with them. She had never been to Resort, but had heard wonderful stories from friends about Cancun Mexico.

The Twins kept nudging their parents. They were anxiously waiting to tell her the BIG surprise. Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair announced to Sara that she would their Special Guest for the trip. It would be an All expense paid trip. Plus she would receive Vacation pay too.

Overwhelmed and filled with much gratitude, Sara thanked them, as tears began rolling down her cheeks.

This was definitely a Dream come true, Seven Luxurious Fun Filled Days at a Resort.

Excitement filled the air as they boarded the Private Plane. Sara’s eye’s were amazed it looked like a Mini-Resort inside. There were Big Screen TV’s, Leather Plush Lounge Chairs, a Mini Bar with drinks and plenty of snacks. The Decor was Fabulous, there were even a full size restroom at both ends of the plane.

Sara wanted to scream out and she finally did! “This is unbelievable, I have never been on a plane like this ever, she was truly grateful.” Everyone chuckled, then hurdled around Sara for a family hug. Then on the count of three they yelled out “WELCOME TO THE FAMILY.”

The Sinclair then handed Sara a beautiful Scroll. Inside was Legal Document written on Papyrus. The Sinclair’s had written Sara into their Will. It also stated that if anything should happen to either of them she will assume Role as Guardian for the Twins and over their Entire Estate to include All entities. Sara was speechless, her heart overwhelmed with gratitude.

The Twins were all over Sara with hugs and asking, “So do you accept?” Silence filled the air. Sara looking up tear wrenched eyes, excited said, Yes!

The Hand Claps sounded like Thunder and the Sinclair’s sounded like a full choir as they harmonized, singing…

Welcome To The Family

Welcome To The Family

Sara laughed and giving thanks. It was now time for them to sit down and buckle up for take off. She just notice the aroma of food feeling the air. She forgot the Chef was even on board

Life Can Be Funny

Life can be quite Humorous…

Especially during the Times, I believe I’ve got things All figured out. Then to Discover my Path has been Redirected

Upon Reflecting back on most of those Times. Shaking my head in Awe…

Laughing about the Process which had to be endured, the Life Lessons taught and Learned

The Journey seems so Conflicting, but the end Result is exactly what Needed

We don’t always get the Full Picture or Lesson right away. As each Passing moment, day, month or even years go by. Things get Nearer, some even Clearer

Time is Dearer…

Bits and pieces began to come together, like no other. Clarity and insight at new heights. Like a puzzle or even a Mystery

There have been times when it just clicks, the beauty of how it happened. How things Unfold…

The Humor…

A Smile… Then Laughter Fills the Air

How Lovely….

Dream Vacation

Pack your bags, bundle up the driver we will be arriving at the Airport in the next 15 minutes.

This was the first time the Family had taken a Limousine to the Airport. Talk about the Rich and Famous, doing it up Ritzy Style.

We exited the Limo, our Sunglasses were beaming, the wind was screaming our Jackets were Zipped and Color Coordinated.

People were glaring, some were staring wondering who we were. We are just the family who was blessed to Win,

A Family Dream Vacation!

It would be so wonderful, to win a Family Vacation such as this. The funny thing about this story is I have no recollection of writing it. I actually wrote it on February 8, 2019. It was quite amusing and made me laugh!!! Enjoy 😉

Dream

You could hear the sound of the alarm from blocks away. Lights from the Fire Trucks and the Police Cars could be seen in the distance. Neighbors were all standing along the sidewalks of their driveways, in attempt to get a glimpse of all the commotion.

Once we were closer to the house I felt my body going limp and numb, as if it was having an outer body experience. This feels like a very bad dream, a nightmare. I could hear me screaming in my head “WAKE UP, THIS IS NOT REAL.”

Many thoughts and images began to plague my mind. As the driver got closer to the house. The Yellow Caution tape and the Police Officers monitoring the perimeter of my home, which is now a Crime Scene is made made everything a reality, instead of a dream.

When my phone rung while having dinner at the restaurant it was Officer Shoer contacting in reference to the Break-In, Murder and Fire.

This was my first date night in over nine years. It very well may be my last. He probably sprinted out of the restaurant, looking over his shoulder.

This has to be a Dream, not one I wish was true.

Shocked, dropping the phone, this had to be the worst night ever or could I be Dreaming. It felt as though I was apart of a Movie Scene gone bad.

Officer Shoer was speaking but no words could I comprehend. I could visually see my home, my things had gone up in smoke from the fire. The Fireman were combing through the debris in hopes of finding an explanation.

Yelling, screaming and grabbing my head, “IS THIS A DREAM, someone wake me PLEASE!!!”

Perhaps it is REAL or just a Movie Scene??

Robin’s Ride…

Robin knew better than to accept a ride from a stranger, but she missed all the signs and whistles. All she could see was that handsome smile, the nice clean cut and the silhouette of his shirt outlining his well defined toned body.

Now she was sitting in the passenger intoxicated by the cologne he is wearing and she didn’t even get a name. Smiling, trying not to seem nervous, especially after hopping in the car with a total stranger with no hesitation. She asked if he could turn the music down, since her street was coming up soon. He looked blankly at her, turning the music up even louder as, He sped faster as he passed her street.

Now Robin was scared and in disbelief, but still trying to remain calm. She then began attempt to engage him in conversation by asking him if he was from the area? What’s your favorite food? Where do you work? Nothing work, it was as though, He was millions of miles away and she was not there.

Afraid to scream or make any sudden move to exit the car. Robin began to pray out loud, like never before.

She started out by asking God to forgive her for not entrusting Him with her life and for trying to do things her way. Lord You know my current situation show me the way I should go and what I should do. Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your Spirit Lead me to a safe and level ground. For Your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life; in Your righteousness, bring me out of this trouble.Touch this man’s heart, his mind, free him in Jesus Mighty Name.

When Robin opened her eyes they were parked in front of a police station. Several officers were standing outside in the front on the side walk talking. They noticed the car pull up and the man sobbing with his hands up, shouting “your looking for me, I’m so sorry” repeatedly.

She sat in the car as they got him out, read him his rights and handcuffed. Right before they took him away, he looked back at her and said “Thank You,” as the lead him up the stairs.

Two Officers came to Robins aid, along with Emergency Care. They told her she was very lucky to be alive. There was a settled Peace upon Robin. She thanked God for preserving her life devising a plan of safety and escape.

They then asked “how did you convince him to turn himself.” Robin response was simple; she told them about her prayer and how she trusted God. Robin also shared the important lessons learned from this experience that would last a lifetime. 💜
